NEW: Blacksmith Bakery in Latimer Village

A Fort Langley favourite, I always seem to be caught in a line-up over at Blacksmith Bakery (along with many others) and understandably so, as their pastry and dessert selection are to die for. I remember their carrot cake and Guinness Baileys cake to be decadent and oh so good. It’s just one of those places you keep going back to. Their new and second branch that opened in September or October 2022 in Latimer Village, 200 St. in Willoughby, Langley is on-trend, spacious, yet cozy. I would say the aesthetic is very millennial with its minimalist, black + white interior, splashes of colour here and there, with small flowers in glass vases on the table. The details make the difference. img_1157 But more than the ambiance, people love Blacksmith Bakery really for their coffee and dessert / pastry offerings. I came at around 4pm and it was busy but not overwhelming. I had a decaf latte and a kouign amann since I rarely see it in bakeries around. It was fluffy inside and not too sweet, just how I like it. Overall, I’m happy there are more cafes opening up in Langley and since this branch is accessible to me, I will definitely try out their other yummy treats.
