December 2022 – it feels like the worst winter with everyone in the family sick for weeks (and almost everyone I know is down with something). At this point we’re not sure if we got COVID-19, a strain of influenza or RSV that seems to be going around too.
Runny nose, nasty cough, and loss of taste do not make a happy restaurant experience (plus I would also like to spare other people my germs) so I’ve just been doing take-out and getting food delivered.
But finally – this week was a good one – and ventured out 5 kilometers away from my home to Delphi Cafe, Willoughby, Langley. It is located in a nondescript building that you would totally miss driving by if you weren’t specifically looking for the place.
I’ve gone four times to Delphi Cafe for brunch and there’s always a line-up. The place isn’t that big but it’s cozy and comfortable. This time we went on a Thursday and we waited 20 minutes to get seated. Their menu is extensive and we used the time to peruse and plan our orders, trying to remember what we ordered the last time, to ensure we order something new this time. #foodieproblems
I ordered an oat vanilla latte to start.

And wanted to try savoury pancakes this time round so got their Chicken Pancake.

Hubby got Honey Bacon Benedict which comes with a side of fries. Thick cut bacon goodness grilled to perfection.

Overall, their portions are good and reasonably priced dishes considering the quality of the dishes. They’re presented well, taste good, ambiance is enjoyable, and service is good. I get why there’s always a line up.
Delphi Cafe is located in 20121 Willowbrook Drive #100, Langley Twp, BC V2Y 0L3.
