Momojoy Dumplings, Langley online restaurant

Every culture has their own version of dumplings. Essentially it’s dough or pastry filled with herbs and/or protein and it’s either deep-fried, pan-fried, baked, boiled, or steamed. Perogies, empanada, bourekas, gyozas, and of course, dumplings are the ones that I’ve tried personally (there’s a lot more out there) and over the years have become staples in my freezer (perogies / dumplings), as a side to order (gyoza with ramen), or by itself as a snack (empanadas / bourekas).

Recently I tried the dumplings from Momojoy, a new restaurant from Langley that’s all about plant-based and vegan goodness and offer dumplings as their specialty though they sell curries, burgers and noodles. Currently only for pick-up or delivery via ubereats and doordash.

Noodles + dumplings

Was getting excited at this point. I had my first bite and Momojoy’s dumplings did not disappoint. They’re flavourful and the filling was generous. I tried the spinach & cheese, beyond meat, and mixed vegetables dumplings. My favourite would definitely be the beyond meat.

The dumplings paired nicely with the noodles and were so good I could eat the whole thing myself.

If you’re into plant-based, vegan food, definitely put Momojoy in your radar as they use no preservatives and no MSG. Flavours are Himalayan-inspired. Find them at momojoy.ca
