I can never resist a good deal. When JRG Group (owner of S&L Kitchen) released their latest promo for 2023, I was excited to try it out. They call it “Happy Days” and each reastaurant under the JRG group has their own version of it. In a nutshell, each restaurant has a menu feature or deal for each day of the week. For S&L Kitchen in Langley, Happy Days features free brunch for kids and recession-proof cocktails on weekends as long as you order an adult brunch entree. I find brunches to be a great family activity so we planned to go in. Plus, my experience in S&L Kitchen has always been positive so I’m always excited to go. It’s a sophisticated space and makes you want to dress nicely (a welcome change to my usual sweats and mom bun) with its rustic industrial interior, vaulted cielings, and tuffted leather seats.

We went on a Sunday and we ordered: O.G. steak & eggs, eggs benedict, $3 caesar, $4 mimosa and my little one’s meal was FREE. The portions were still a good size and the cocktails did not taste watered down. We truly had a happy day with our bellies full and feeling like we got a good deal. Definitely, we’ll be back to try out more of their brunch offerings.
