Not completely food-related (though we did have some tea and fresh fruits), I want to share this unique spa experience found in the most unexpected location in the middle of Langley.
Our anniversary was coming up and in between busy work schedules and toddler care, I was again looking for a couples’ activity that was within 2 hours and within Langley, preferably within a 15-minute drive. Google always recommends couples’ massage after researching for anniversary activity ideas and somehow I ended up on Cave Cure & Therapy’s website. And let me tell you – they have a lot of services beyond the usual massages and facials.
Cave offers a mineral bath spa with an anniversary theme. Think Harrison Hot Springs but intimate, private, way more relaxing, and you don’t have to drive for 3 hours one way.
We got to Cave and the vibe is fresh, green and modern. They have a small café out front where they sell wellness teas, wraps, salads and sandwiches. After checking in, you’re ushered into a room where you change into your robe and slippers. They set up the room with some anniversary decor. Details like this matter to me as it makes the event more memorable. We were then escorted to the room across where there’s a plunge pool, showers and a ceiling with twinkling lights that makes you feel like you’re looking up a starry sky. The pool is infused with mineral oils and I had complete trust that they are nourishing and relaxing to the skin. Glasses of non-alcoholic bubbly, chocolate-dipped strawberries, lemon water and cold ice masks were ready for us. The pool was hot and the room smelled like lavender.

We soaked in the pool and the water was infused with mineral oils that felt good on the skin. The combination of the cool eye masks, bubbly and hot water made for great bonding time.
After our time was up we then went back to the main room where there were more treats and hot pot of calming tea waiting for us and a gift.

Overall, I had a great and relaxing time and an anniversary well spent as we had a unique experience that not a lot of spas are able to offer. Price was also reasonable at about $120 for the both of us.
